1415 1-1/4-Gallon Poly Gas Can (CARB Compliant), Red

I haven’t poured from it yet, but I’ve tested the button easy to push. I think the trick is you have to set it on the ground and vent the fumes before you try to use it.. I filled it up. It actually holds a gallon and a half even though you’re not supposed to fill it that much.. doesn’t leak, can’t smell gasoline. there’s only two issues. I see one being there’s a screen in there and I managed to rotated a quarter turn, but I couldn’t get it to come out. I don’t see what sense it makes to not be able to remove it. It’s supposed to keep stuff from getting poured into your gas tank whereas now I just keep stuff from going into the fuel can I’d like to be able to remove it and fill it up and then put the screen in. The other issue, which I can’t confirm because I haven’t poured from it is if you hold it with the spout down in the back of the can up you’re not gonna be able to drain the entire contents of it.I’ll post back, but I’m pretty happy with it

My son bought me the 5 gallon one but I needed this smaller one for my lawn equipment. Being able to put the nozzle in the gas tank then press the button before the gasoline starts flowing has eliminated drips on my garage floor and driveway, as well as on the equipment. I got rid of my other gas cans. Great design!

Perfect amount of gas for my lawn mower. It doesnt leak. Easy to use. I think in general we went a little crazy trying to make everything safe…the old gas cans that you just screwed the nozzle on were no trouble at all. This one is probably the next best thing.

I have the five gallon version and decided to get this one to mix my two cycle fuel in.

I purchased this gas can mostly because of the shape. It has a wide base which gives the container a lower center of gravity than most other gas cans of similar size when filled with gas. Most other brands are higher with a narrower base which makes them much more prone to tipping over on their side. This gas can is not likely to tip over...unless it is in your car when you are unfortunate enough to roll it.The last thing you want is for your full gas can to tip over on its side, because then chances are gasoline will leak out. Even gas can screw caps with rubber gaskets tend to leak somewhat when a full container is laying on its side. My old Midwest 1 gallon gas can tipped over recently and gasoline dripped onto the carpet I have in the back of my truck (which has a fiberglass canopy mounted on top). It had been laying on its side for days (perhaps weeks) when I discovered it. Now the carpet smells of gasoline.I wouldn't say that the spout with thumb button control on this gas can is "Spill-Proof", but it sure is preferable over today's gas can spring loaded spouts that you push down on your tank's filler neck to pour. Those almost always lead to some spilling either when you place the spout in the filler neck and push down to begin pouring, or when you are releasing the spout from the filler neck in order to remove it. Since the new EPA regulations requiring spring-loaded nozzle spouts with automatic closure came into effect on January 1, 2009, the amount of spilled gasoline in the U.S. surely must have increased by a tremendous amount.This gas can's thumb button controlled spout is the first good design I've seen since all flawlessly and perfectly functioning spouts had to be redesigned due to the 2009 EPA regulation. I predict this design will increase its market share and perhaps even dominate the U.S. market in a few more years.

Perfect size for a lawn mower and as a back-up in my 17' Jon boat for long trips.I have 5-gallon gas cans, but too heavy to pour into my boat gas tank.I did use a marker on the side to show1, 1.25 and 1.5 gallons.

It was 2.5 gal not 4 gal. Havent used it yet, but appears as ordered. Hopefully doesnt leak
