I’m a bit of a mask fiend. Most weeks, I mask at least 3-4 time, often fitting in at least a 10 min mask each day. I have aging, acne (cystic) prone skin that has many of the sensitivities common to redheads. I like a mask to clean deep into my pores without stripping my skin or disrupting a moisture balance made delicate due to my use of actives.This tree to rub mask caught my attention due to its inclusion of two of my favorite (must have!) masking components: bentonite clay and charcoal. They’re a must for congested, troubled skin! Many bentonite masks are too rough on my face, if they’re too thick then the force needed to remove them stretches and stresses sensitive areas. I can feel and see that this mask has plenty bentonite (first ingredient!) and charcoal, with the added benefit of kaolin to boost the purifying action and plenty of soothing, nourishing additions (hyaluronic acid, vit c, green tea, cucumber, etc) to refresh my skin and soften the touch of the bentonite. They also ensure the mask applies in a smooth, almost silky, manner and washes easily and cleanly away. My skin looks and feels bright, clear and refreshed after a few minutes relaxing with this mask. (Or, chasing my toddlers...ha!) The soft texture also makes the mask efficient; I don’t have to work to smear thick globs around to cover my face and neck, it glides smoothly on with my mask brush. One note, it’s advised to keep bentonite away from metals to ensure purity; I keep the mask away from any metal bands on my mask brushes!In all, I feel this is an ideally balanced skin treatment that may not be the cheapest offer on the market but employs so many quality components that would be costly to acquire and annoying to mix that the mask proves economical not only in composition but also in use since it spreads so nicely. If you don’t want or need to blast your skin with formulas that eradicate all moisture but also won’t truly benefit from a pure moisture mask, this one has a lovely balance of cleansing and nourishment with the added assurance of coming from a company that’s proven itself to use quality, nature sourced elements in their formations. The packaging is simple and clean in an elegant way. I’m never less than impressed with their product or presentation. An assortment of their products would make a lovely self care gift for anyone who needs a bit of effective, ethical “me time”.

Im in love with this product. Never has my skin felt better. I use the face wash, toner, mask and moisturizer. And truly see a difference. Love that it's simple ingredients none of the junk most stuff has and it works better than anything else I've tried.

I'm a big Tree-to-Tub fan; I've tried other products of theirs in the past with great results (gotta try their SHAMPOO), and this mask is no exception. In addition to having a laundry list of severe allergies in our household, I also have extremely sensitive skin that is prone to atopic dermatitis, so finding beauty products that don't antagonize a flare-up is often a hit-or-miss process.This charcoal mask is definitely a hit! One worth adding to a permanent routine - it's very gentle, has a buttery-smooth application, and doesn't have a harsh sting like others that I've tried. It does have a tingling/cooling sensation from the tea tree (and possibly the turmeric too?) but it isn't unpleasant. After a week of use, I can attest that it definitely helps with minimizing pores as well. Per volume, It is MUCH smaller than other comparably priced products out there, but in my opinion, the quality of ingredients is undeniably superior, and their marketing is accurate when they say a little goes a long way.Bottom line: If you have sensitive skin, you will love this. If you don't have sensitive skin, you will still love this, and it's worth the splurge.

This mask glides on smoothly and smells pleasant. It dried on my face in 15 to 20 minutes and flaked off just a little bit as it dried, but I was moving around, cleaning and such. It washes off smoothly and easily, leaving my face amazingly soft, smooth, glowing, and my pores more refined and less visible. My hardest thing is taking time to use it, although it is well worth the little amount of time it takes. I'm very happy with this product and would certainly order it again in the future. This is a brand AND a product I like.

It comes in recyclable packaging* which is great, and is in a small plastic tub. It is cooling upon application, and leaves your skin feeling smooth and moisturized after. There wasn't so much an exfoliating effect for me, since I am used to using stronger masks (ie, Aztec healing clay). The plus is that it slightly calmed down any active breakouts, and did not dry me out/cause adverse reactions. It would be a good first-timer mud mask for someone needing gentle skincare. (as for any anti-aging properties..? I couldn't speak to them after only a week's worth of use.)Although at full price, I would say that this mask is a out of my budget (15$ for 2 ounces of product is a lot for a student), this product is a gentle, soothing mud mask.*update* was considering repurchasing as a gift, but was a little surprised at how much the price increased :(

My skin is extremely sensitive, dry, and flaky with moderate dark pores especially on nose and cheeks. I am very hesitant to try anything for fear of irritation but the reviews encouraged me that this was safe. I don’t know how this stuff works, but it’s magic. It truly does what it’s supposed to do. After one use my skin was softer, smoother, and less flaky. My pores were also reduced. Doesn’t have a particularly good or bad smell but I don’t mind it. I apply it to my face a few minutes before a shower and wash it off while showering....so easy. I don’t use is daily though, but have done it more than two days in a row. I don’t like it’s such a small, itty bitty tub...but for the quality I cannot complain. Will buy again.
