Atolla 4+1 USB 3.0 Data and Charge Adapter Works Well
Have used this USB 3.0 Hub for about three weeks, and it has worked fine. I have a Lenovo M73 Tower and it has two USB 3.0 Ports and four USB 2.0 Ports. If you are using some BlueTooth, Wireless, or Audio it seems to work good and fast. Some have said there is interference when used with certain Wireless Devices hooked into the Hub. My Wireless is hooked directly into the PC. I was very concerned when I did a USB Port Check using "USB Tree Viewer" and it showed this Hub as being a USB 2.1. Other software checkers showed the same. I checked the USB Devices in Device Manager Windows 10 and it identified it as a SS (Super Speed) Hub + Charging (3.0). Also checked with DXDIAG Windows program. I did see an improvement in Wireless Internet speed and other USB 3.0 Devices. Also have USB 2.0 devices hooked up and they work fine. I did use their Customer Service chat service and was asked to check some drivers and USB status. Seemed to be working right according to them. As for speed checks to see Upload / Download speeds for drives - I have not done them. Good Hub for the price. If you have a Desktop and a number of devices, I would recommend a 7-10 port USB 3.0 Hub. Likely you will use the ports someday. If you have a Laptop with a few devices and a phone, this one works great - smaller and light weight plus fast charge. It really does all those things.

Excellent overall..
This atolla Aluminum 5-Port USB 3.0 Hub does exactly what it says. I had first ordered a similar plastic-ey model from Sabrent..but it's just felt TOO cheap. This atolla Aluminum 5-Port USB 3.0 Hub feels well made...ports work fine with fast speeds...charging port works but is rather slow. I like you can shut individual ports off as needed and the corresponding blue lights that tell you which ones are on. My only SLIGHT negative is in winter I find I am getting more of those static electricity shocks than when I touch it vs my other metal components. I am not talking about a REAL shock....it's the dry winter air..walking on carpet kinda shock, touch a metal door handle kind of shock,it just seems a bit more with this unit, than when I touch anything else. The unit works great esp vs it's price-point.,. Made in China like so MANY other products sold on Amazon..wish it was made in USA!, but maybe that's just me...

Powered USB Hub that does the Job
When I am at the office, I need to plug in sometimes four USB devices plus charge my phone. There aren't enough ports on my Dell workstation laptop and none of them charges my Samsung Galaxy Note very well. I got a powered USB hub for home and it has worked out nicely. So I got this one from the same manufacturer but with a slightly different configuration. In this one, all the USB ports (and their switches) are on top of the device with the charging port clearly labeled in red. I can turn off ports that I'm not using. The charging device really makes a difference. Some devices need more power and the passive hubs sometimes don't cut it. With this one, I've got a full charge through every port. My external drives, headphones, cameras, keyboard and mouse all get the right amount of juice.I don't think of this as a bargain price, but it is acceptable. The quality, construction, and function are all what I was looking for. Recommended.

Atolla USB 3.0 Powered HUB: Perfect for Raspberry Pi systems!
I purchased this to use with a Raspberry Pi4B SBC/ArgonONE Case/ADATA SSD 960GB/ROOFULL Slim DVD/CD Drive USB 3.0 This setup is my Bedroom Media Center The Atolla USB Hub expands the USB ports for the setup. Found it worked best plugged into USB 2.0 for system start up and restarts, and for the attached drives to be discovered properly i.e. the ROOFULL DVD/CD Rom drive this would not show when plugged into Atolla HUB when HUB was at Pi's USB 3.0 port but worked and discovered at the 2.0 port. The build quality is great, it;s a brushed aluminum case with on/off buttons for each USB top side connection. The unit works as needed and explained above so I am very pleased to give this my highest recommendations for Rasberry Pi setups.I have not tried the SMART CHARGE PORT yet so that is an added bonus if I ever need to charge my phone or a battery power pack. Comes with the needed power pack too. Very happy!

Well built. Perfect for my needs.
The media could not be loaded. I have used up all the ports on my computer and also wanted to have the ability to turn certain ports on and off rather than having to unplug them every time. This fit my needs perfectly. I like that it has a dedicated smart-charging port that charges at 2.4amps. You can still use the other ports to charge but they are not fast charging. I love the fact that I can turn off the charging for my phone when the battery is full rather than leaving it on charging all the time and without having to pull the cable out. I also have my webcam plugged into one of the ports and I can just click the switch to shut off the webcam so I don't have to worry about being spied on. This is much higher quality than I expected. It is engineered and built well. If this was helpful or you like my review, please click "Helpful" Many Thanks!

Second USB Hub for me
This is my second hub that I purchased to use as a charging hub for several of my gadgets. It works great! The original power adapter kicked the bucket, rendering the charging capabilities useless. I found one of the prongs loose that inserts into the wall outlet. It was as if there was no connection on the inside. I contacted the seller via email to find out if they had a solution. Their solution was to send me a replacement adapter which worked. Great seller to do business with. Happily charging! Purchase with confidence.
