They sent me an obviously used item, full of scratches both on guide holes and drill bits.Regarding the product, it needs anti slippery material where it touches to the surface. It is hard to keep it in place as it is when drilling. It is also made of bad quality plastic.

Bought for my husband and during its first use, the plastic handle melted and the collar fell out. Returned for a refund.

I built my own kitchen table. I have never done dowel work before, so I bought this dowel jig. I didn't want to spend too much on my first try.I used the kit to drill matching dowel holes on the table top and supporting base. I was leery, because a 1/16th of an inch off is too much.The steel dowel/tenon centering brad punches are easy to use. Just drill the dowel holes on one surface using the drill bit and jig, slip the steel punch into the hole you just drilled, line up the two surfaces together, and tap the two pieces together with a mallet. Presto - you have a dead-center mark on the matching wood to line up your drill bit for the companion hole.I drilled all 8 holes on the frame, then inserted the steel brad punches into 2 holes. Then I aligned the table top to the frame within 0.5 mm (1/50th of an inch), and used my mallet to punch the two matching marks on the table top. Removing the brad punches was harder than I thought - I really had to pry them out of the oak hardwood. I learned not to hammer the remaining hole punches so hard with the rubber mallet. With the brad punches out, I drilled the two matching holes, using the brad tipped drill bits supplied and depth stop collar. I inserted 2 dowels into the newly drilled holes and I fitted the base onto the top (I did it upside down to make it easier). The remaining hole punch and drilling was easy because the first dowels assured me the table top and base were perfectly aligned. I drilled the remaining 6 pairs of dowel holes that way. At the end, the table top fit perfectly to the base. I was really pleased.The actual jig is OK. I had to concentrate to keep it level, especially when drilling into the thin edge of a 1x4. But I took my time and paid attention to what I was doing, and it worked perfectly.If I were paying more money, I would get more steel brad punches. Two of each size is not enough. I'm not complaining - the price was right. I'm saying, if there is one thing extra you should by, it is the steel punches.

Con este kit empecé a hacer mi closet aún no lo termino por falta de madera, pero es muy práctico para realizar ensambles ya sea de paño con paño a para ángulos me encantó la facilidad con la que se pueden construir mubles

Lo recomiendo principalmente para uniones con proyectos de melamina y mdf, pero sirve también para madera en general.Es fácil de usar y el kit es muy completo.Te recomiendo comprar los taquetes de 8 mm en home depot y también una broca de 8 mm, porque la broca de 5/16 deja los oyos para los taquetes de 8 milimetros muy justos.
