The Worst Helper Ever (Step-Into-Reading, Step 2)

A weak adaptation of Richard Scarry's "Farmer Pig's Busy Day." Perhaps they oversimplified this story to make this a Step 2/Step into Reading book, but this book lacks the clever wording and wit of a Richard Scarry book. Even the ending is unclear; we never know why Farmer Pig drives off the bridge.

Who's more fun than Richard Scarry's animal characters and their silly adventures. A great learning to read selection.

My daughter enjoyed reading and laughing at the not so helpful Charlie Cat is to Farmer pig.

I chose this because my son watches the Richard Scarry cartoons on TV (Qubo.) This book did not disappoint-he laughs out loud reading it.

I DO LOVE ALL THE RICHARD SCARRY BOOKS - KIDS LOVE THEM SO MUCH.

the illustrations are cute and the story line is simple and entertaining. My 6 year old socially delayed son enjoys this book at bedtime.

I love all the books by Richard Scarry. The stories are really nice and funny and this particular book has lots of pictures and short sentences, ideal for beginning readers or second language learners. Definitely satisfied!

とっても忙しいファーマーピッグ。ヘルパーさんを探しに街へ。暇なチャーリーキャットにお手伝いを頼みますが…。スキャリーお得意のドタバタ劇です。リズミカルな文章で読んでいても楽しいです。「Oh!Dear!」を大袈裟に読むと子供たちも大爆笑です。

アマゾンで、次は何を買おうかな〜と見ていたところ、レベル1の、Watch Your Step,Mr.Rabbit! と同じ方のイラストだと子供達はすぐに気付き、買って〜と頼まれました。やっぱり、隅々までイラストが可愛いです。レベル2ですが、繰り返しの文章、簡単です。子供に暗唱させるのにもよさそうです。最後に、おちがあるところも、なかなか良かったですよ♪
