Works better than expected.
I was unsure if id like this charger or not, after using a battery tender one for years, but I'm glad I went with it.For some reason the battery tender leads are different polarity, and the design on this one is actually betterThe positive on the battery tender brand was the exposed metal piece, and the negative was encased in rubber, not a big deal unless the cap breaks off, then you have a positive exposed metal tip flapping around while you ride. After removing the old one and connecting the new leads, it works perfectly. The only small problems I've found are that the cap does fit kind of loosely, and the cable is a little short, but that's just nit picky stuff, I'm glad to have a charger that actually works well again

Will work on 6V batteries
I bought this to maintain charge on my spare 6V UPS batteries. Did not realize it was a wall-wart, but did not mind standing on my head to set up the voltage parameters when plugged in. Writing on the face is tiny, so I had to unplug it first to tell which light did what. Not a big deal, since it is mostly set-and-forget. Seems to work well, giving full and part charge indications. Would have preferred a cord connected unit, but this one will do....

It would be nice if they didn't cause batteries to explode
These chargers are easy to use, the directions were somewhat easy to decipher, and they seemed to be working from the beginning. However, here is the long answer to this. Trickle chargers are inherently slow to do their job, it's their intended characteristic. When I hooked three of these chargers to three different batteries, two of them were RV 12v batteries and the other was a 12v motorcycle battery, using the included instructions I verified the hook up and all looked well. These chargers/batteries were in a semi heated garage, never goes below 50 deg F over the winter months. For the first couple months I regularly checked that they were working correctly. Sometime between Jan and April, one of the RV batteries blew out the end casing, causing acid to fly everywhere. The other RV battery had a bulged end, ready to explode. The third charger appears to have worked correctly as far as I could tell. Cost us $259.00 to replace the two RV batteries. They were only 2 1/2 yrs old, had been trickle charged the other couple winters just fine using Battery Tender chargers (I highly recommend that brand). I bought these LST chargers on a whim, falling for the price reduction. Anyway, I attempted to deal with the company via email. They were less than helpful. I explained the entire issue to them, and asked for full refunds, not replacements. They eventually wanted me to hook them up again and watch the lights carefully over a period of time. Yeah, right. Like I am going to destroy another battery or two for their leisure. Asked again for a refund, they simply told me they needed to go through this process so they could determine the problem. I said, "Take them back, give me a refund, then your technicians can dissect them to their hearts content." They still would not refund. I then simply went through Amazon's Customer Service via chat on line, bingo, bango, bongo....they sent me a return label for a full refund. I love Amazon, but this company sucks. Buy at your consequences. That's all I've got to say about that.
