The unit is easy to mount and very simple to operate. The sensitivity is excellent and the field of coverage is very wide - maybe about ~60 degrees. I placed a unit near my garbage cans (bears like them) and also near my front and back windows (a bear tried to come through my windows recently). I also placed 2 units near my barns front and back entrance. I live remotely so irritating my neighbors is not a concern. These units are rather loud in the middle of a quiet night. They have 3 volume settings - really low (almost useless), medium and loud. I use the loudest setting since I want to know when I have a furry uninvited guest snooping around outside. If you live near others and worry about false alarms irritating neighbors, then these units may not be ideal. I have not tried placing blinders along the side of the units to restrict their field of detection but it should work. The solar panel on top works nicely for keeping the units charged (I gave them an initial full charge for 1 hour on a 5vdc, 1A USB charger). Mounting the units is really simple. Overall, I am very satisfied with them. They have solved my immediate problem until I can install a more purpose built alarm/camera system.

Posted an original review showing a picture of this product working thought it was fantastic because it actually does work however two months after purchasing it it stopped working won’t shut off and even when I placed it in my garage facing the wall with no one in there it goes off.

I bought 3 of them about a year ago. Deer were eating my wife’s flowers to the ground. Since placing the “barkers” on the sidewalk facing the flowers, the deer haven’t bothered anything. A week ago I moved them to our vegetable garden (deer were checking it out) and the deer vacated the premises! The units are very sensitive and moving plants, trees, or leaves will set them off. The range seems to be up to about 40 feet, but depends on what is detected (such as a vehicle vs a person). The only downside is the remotes don’t work well. Occasionally, I have to recharge them from house current when we’ve had extended periods of overcast days or when they have been very active. Installation is a snap; just fully charge them (about 1 hour) before using. Also, they won’t keep critters out of our fruit trees.I plan to buy the newer model with the better - hopefully - remote.

The media could not be loaded. So it has pretty good range with the motion detection. And I’m praying it deters the deer from my garden, but in trying it out instead of the guns and barking like it was doing initially, it started playing this song. Gave me a good laugh, but very odd to say the least.

this barking dog , gunshot alarm seems to work pretty well in keeping deer out of my garden. I have witnessed two times this device preventing a herd of deer coming into my vegtable garden, all you could see was these big white tails heading for the woods. so far so good..

Bought this to detour predators from chickens. It’s loud and flashes bright in the dark. It needed charged about every other day even though it was placed in full sunlight. It came with a ridiculously short charging cable. The unit is not worth the price. It won’t charge at all now. I have had better luck with scare tape. This thing is junk.

Do not know how it will work if I get a new one after this is returned. Box was opened before I got it and all it does is flash lights. No sounds. Think I got a broken one.
