One of the best, gut-wrenching, vivid books I've ever read. Booker's way of painting memories with nature, food, and the body is a delight. The themes she expressed broke my heart and mended it continuously, page by page.

If you like words that can lift you, change your perceptions, words that can change the way you feel inside. If you like poetry that says the kind of things you've always wanted to say, poems that are love poems but grounded in reality and honesty then you'll love this book. If you don't care about any of that, read this and you might change your mind.
