Brings back memories
I first bought Risk back in the early 60' as a birthday present. The game is very competitive and it did cause many upsets. The newer game however has missions which makes the game more family friendly. The disappointing side of the new game is plastic pieces, so when I saw this Nostalgia version I had to have it. Wooden pieces, back to my childhood days although I will be using the modern mission cards. I now have all 4 Nostalgia games, they not only look good but are well made. Come on lets have a few more traditional games presented like these. How about Totopoly?

MY 9 year old lives this we play this for hours sometimes great simple game but can get very competitive

Other editions have more options
For those that have played Risk before, it might appear disappointing the lack of mission cards. This version only allows you to destroy other armies and does not have the extra twist of not knowing what your opponent is after... If I could get my hands on these missions, this would be a perfect game for 4 and above adults

This nostalgia set is lovely - wooden armies in a great box. Game can last for days so suitable for older children.
