JACK PYKERannock Jacket English Oak Evolution

Very good and useful not only for hunters. Also for wildlife photographers. Great idea with two zippers on the zipper. It is a pity that the same is not on the fleece lining. The downside is also the lack of an internal pocket on the fleece lining. The idea of a detachable back of the jacket (so as not to get the pants wet when sitting on something wet) is the world championship! Summing up, a great protection against frosty wind, moisture and rain. For me, it worked when sitting in wet grass, on a windy winter beach and lying on the cool ground.

Had to return the XL size and get the XXL as former was a little on the tight side compared to a previous Jack Pyke Hunter (XL) jacket purchased - I prefer a bit of room to allow for layering and for me to lift binoculars without tightness across my back or the sleves.It has a nice soft finish, so no noise, with wide sleeves which allow for layering and gloves tucked underneath - a problem with some makes of jacket.Hopefully it will be as waterproof as my heavier Hunters jacket. This purchased as a light spring/summer jacket which it will do very nicely. Packs fairly small so should go in backpack if necessary as well.Update after first day in heavy rain:Kept my body nicely dry, except for the cuffs, where the ends were wet as it runs down the outside of the sleeves and as the plush finish goes inside, by capilary action were also therefore wet. The bottom edge was similarly wet as water runs down the jacket. Otherwise a good investment for keeping dry, so no change in overall rating.

I bought the jacket for early season wildfowling. I deliberately bought the largest size which is probably two sizes too big for me so that it can be worn with extra layers underneath. It does not have hand warmer pockets but because its too big I can drop the cuffs over my hands to keep them warm if necessary. It does have two deep side pockets with velcro flaps. The zip is appears to be good and it also has robust press stud and is supplied with a couple of spares. The zip comes up above the chin which is good when walking into the wind and rain. I would have liked an inner breast pocket but for the money I not going to complain

Great light weight, warm, tested in heavy (ie. in floods lol) rain, didn’t come through at all. True to size , length of arms etc spot on, as hubby is tall, he loves it

The jacket design is great but quality is not to good

All my jackets are Medium, so always order the medium, and go on there measurements.This jacket came as medium, but to small.
