Office Star DC Series Adjustable Drafting Chair with Foot Ring and Sculptured Foam Seat, Black Vinyl

Second time purchasing this chair. I am a lash and permanent makeup artist. I have tried several stools and chairs and always come back to this one because its so comfortable. It is low enough to fit under my lash bed but gets tall enough that I can use it for makeup if I forget to bring in my directors chair. The wheels are sturdy and roll easily and the one I had for about 5 years never broke or damaged. I only tossed it because I thought I wanted to use a saddle stool permanently haha.

Been using it for over a year now for my work deskIt's great. Very comfy. It rolls away & moves easily for when I want to use my standing desk. The seat is perfect height and cushion is soft, but a great amount of firmness.

This Drafting Stool (high-up Computer chair bar-stool??) is super easy to assemble,i did it while on crutches.So i was injured recently in a near fatal car accident (the other guy was found at fault) and had foot surgery. i told my boss i needed a stool or something to domy job at the counter-height-desk, he just shrugged like ok... well a few days later i just went ahead and ordered this for the office. He was surprised when the box arrived, (i guess he thought i was playin') and said " hey you gonna be ok to put that together ? " - i said " Yeah, i got this, i do all kinds of handy man projects "so after about 20 minutes of crawling all over the floor and allen wrenching it up, i had a fully functioning chair. i was rollin all over the office just pushing and pulling my way along the counter, i don't have to awkwardly get up every 15 minutes and either one-foot hop, or even worse get my crutches and look like a pathetic human, i get " OH you poor baby you shouldn't be at work in your condition " [blame the american healthcare system - lol]also the TOOLS and HARDWARE are nice! i cannot believe how thicc that allen wrench was. thats a good sign of quality is when the tools to assemble it are not cheap.when i leave this job this chair comes with me, its really nice, i don't know about those photos with the seat cushion poppin' out or the back rest for that matter, but mine is solidly connected and it didn't feel like it would just come undone, that being said i am careful in the chair as to not stress it too much.its decent quality overall but i wouldn't expect it to last any longer than 3 to 5 years. I'm a bass player and had been using a very uncomfortable stool to sit on while practicing for the last few years. I looked all over for a bass stool and the best thing I could find was $329. Now that's a great stool and it folds up for taking to gigs, but I could not bring myself to pay $300 for a stool that didn't even have a back on it. So I bought this for home practicing. Under $100, with the back rest included. I am very impressed with the quality and comfort so far. I didn't have any trouble assembling it. I would hint that when you are putting it together you have to take the knobs out completely to correctly assemble the back and back support. Don't lose the washers when you do, and you might as well put a little grease on the end of the knob's screw before you put it back in. It will work a lot better with a little grease. In case it's not clear, the height of the seat is adjustable (some people leaving reviews complained it was really high--just pull up on the lever and it will go down) the foot rest is adjustable, and the back rest is adjustable up and down and in and out, both. If you don't want wheels on your stool, Amazon suggested getting these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075P2RGNR?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details , which I did and they fit perfectly in place of the wheels. It's not too portable at 28 pounds or so, so you probably aren't going to want to haul it around to gigs and stuff, but if it stays in one place, home, office, studio, school, or whatever, it is great.

I particularly appreciated the easy assembly and the thoughtful packaging - no styrofoam! It seems well made, and I expect that it will hold up for a long time.I built my electronics bench to be on the tall side (bar height+), so that I would not be bending over to see what I'm working on. However, sometimes I'm there for hours and get tired of standing. This chair has excellent flexibility with regard to height, and I had no trouble getting it adjusted for this tall bench. The back height and depth, and the height of the foot bar, are also quite easy to get right.

This seems like a great chair. It was simple to assemble , and serves the purpose well for drafting table usage.

I am updating my review, the seller totally came through and responded immediately to my email request to send me the missing screw. I actually had the missing screw within 2 days at my doorstep! Now that the chair is complete, it’s beautiful, perfect height for a drafting table and very comfortable! The imprints from the loose screws are gone!I purchased this product as “used nearly new” item, first time ever on Amazon. I thought there would have been some type of quality control for these types of items that are re-sold but no! The box wasn’t damaged, you could tell it had been retapped but in good condition. When opened the contents were a mess, the screws were loose in the box, pieces were not back in their plastic bags. Thus screws were missing…. The seat, you could tell is of good quality however there were imprints of the loose screws and non-packed parts into the material. I will never buy another “used” item on Amazon again. Hopefully they will make it right!
