amazing tv. the curve is great for gaming, but not too much if you want to watch from afar. beautiful picture with great refresh rate and many settings to perfect the right color balance for you. backlight is a bit awkward when turned up on a black screen, and the speakers are absolutely awful, but who cares? no really the speakers are very bad. maybe mine is defective, but it sounds like someone is playing sound from one of those really old bluetooth speakers inside of a clam under a stack of pillows.

I've never purchased this brand before and I'm very impressed. When I had it all setup and connected it to my laptop, it didn't see it. I tried three cables, so I know it wasn't the HDMI. Looked at all the settings and did multiple reboots; nothing. My old monitor did the same thing, so I was thinking it was my laptop. I updated my video drivers and that fixed it, so don't forget to do that if you're having issues. It was just a coincidence that they both had the same issue, but the old monitor truly did croak. The only other thing is the instructions with screwing in the base. It doesn't specify if the long or short bolts go on the base or the extension. Logically the long ones would go on the bottom at the feet because of the weight, but that's not always clear to everyone. Maybe I missed it in the instructions, but it doesn't distinguish which ones go where. So far a great monitor. The first thing I noticed was the high quality packaging, which isn't always telling, but I think it's a good indication of the product's quality as well.

I'd find it very difficult to be able to locate a better monitor at this price point. The refresh rate is high and the resolution is good enough. This is a solid monitor for being sub $200. This is my main monitor for gaming and then I have a very hi-rez monitor for productivity. Together they are perfect. Highly recommend this.

Good monitor. It has a great picture and I enjoy the blue-light filtering it offers. However, the speakers are no better than you'd find on an on-board sound card speaker. Works well watching movies and tv shows as well as gaming. If you are considering putting this on a monitor stand, keep in mind that the mount connects to the bottom of the monitor, not in the middle.

I ordered March 19th, received March 27th. Good picture, good size. All seemed well at first but now at April 8th the screen is randomly shutting off and the power supply cord is getting hot. I noticed one other review which seems to have the random shutting off program. Contacting customer service and I’ll post my results. The monitor has now stopped working. I’ve contacted customer service but they are currently closed. I’ve sent them an email.April 15 2020 update:After a few emails back and forth, we figured out it was the power cord. They sent me a new one on April 7th and I received it April 12th. So far, so good. Hopefully this one doesn’t break after one week.Update 5/5/20A strange scratch has appeared on the screen. Which is strange because I haven’t moved it or cleaned it yet. I dusted with a fresh microfiber cloth but that’s it. Still I noticed this a week after I wiped it. The strange thing is, the scratch doesn’t seem to be on the outside the screen but in a layer. I don’t feel the scratch when I touch it, and when I turn off the monitor and use a flash light to find the scratch, it’s not there. I have contacted sceptre again and awaiting the results. I’ve been using sceptre for years, I started with a 24 in curved and then upgraded to a 27 144hz curved and those were amazing, zero problems and recently bought this one. It’s been a bit of a grieving experience this time. I hope they fix this.Update 5/14On 5/7 customer service informed me this is a defect and my unit needs to be serviced. I was told that within 48 hours I will receive a packing slip to print via email. On 5/12 I emailed them and told them I had not received the packing slip. I still haven’t heard from sceptre.5/17Still haven’t heard from sceptre. Maybe it because of covid and cali’s strict lockdown, but also I feel like this is something that can be easily addressed with working at home. I won’t be purchasing from sceptre again. I’ll just save up and get a good monitor.
