Elixir Strings Electric Guitar Strings with NANOWEB Coating, 3 Pack, Super Light .009-.042 (16540)

These are great strings. They sound good and hold up. Bought a case of them and am pleased.

I'd used Ernie Ball strings for as long as I could remember. Not anymore. They'd always been my favorite in terms of tone and feel. But my hands secrete acid that rivals that of a Xenomorph, so the EB's or any non-coated strings I used were always dead after a single gig. I started putting Elixers on my non-gigging guitars just to make sure there were "fresh" strings on for extended periods of time even if I didn't play them. What I found though, is that I would play one for a bit, put it away for a month or two, and when I got it out again the strings were still like new. So I switched my gigging guitars over to Elixer as well. Now I can continue to play with those strings at practices and gigs for several weeks before I notice any real degradation in tone and feel. They stay bright and clear and they save me money on buying pack after pack of any non-coated strings. Safe to say I'm an Elixer player for life now.

I've been using Elixir brand guitar strings for many years. They are my favorite strings. Long lasting and great tone. They are a higher price, but you get what you pay for.

Packaged well. No damage to the strings. Plas like a guitar string.

Compared to my previous Ernie Balls and GHS, as played on a Fender EJ Strat, these last longer, tune better, and have a more complex yet balanced sound.

Lo que me pareció algo importante es que no vienen 3 juegos sellados, sino que todas las cuerdas están individualmente en un sobre de papel y, por lo tanto, en ambientes muy húmedos pueden malograrse aunque sean (“inoxidables “). Lo mejor hubiera sido que dentro de la caja vengan 3 paquetes sellados, como para otras cuerdas que he comprado antes.

It's nice when a product's claims prove to be more truth than lies. These nanoweb strings really do stay fresh and twangy and bright for a long time. One set is on my Carvin for over two years. Nothing wrong with the other top brands except that they get dull and start to corrode all too soon. I really like the Elixirs so well that It's going to be the only string sets I use anymore. They may cost a bit more, but with the on/off playing that I do, it makes more sense to just remember to wipe them down after each use and rely on them to sound great for months/years. If I'm going to make a record, I may resort to high grade steel strings that start to rust on contact. Otherwise, it's going to be Elixirs for the long haul.

Work great on your electric guitar. Try them out. Nice bright tone and tune up nicely. Easy to play. And no corrosion. Cost a little more but worth it.
