not sure about these
The first patch I put on went on great. I have wasted two overlays because they just didn't stick right. I am not allergic to any type of plastic or latex of any kind but I noticed after wearing these, they make my skin constantly itch where they are placed. They also leave a ring or residue from the edges. I stopped wearing them and the regular CGM patch does not bother me at all. I don't recommend this brand. I think next time I will purchase a different brand. They are completely water resistant so that is a plus.

Not Waterproof and Impossible to Apply
Do NOT order these if you have to apply them yourself and locate your CGM on your arm. It takes a separate person to apply them without touching the adhesive. Trying to remove the outer cover so the sticker is truly transparent is impossible without removing the sticker from your body completly and ruining the adhesive. Do NOT order these if you plan to get your CGM site wet for any reason. It may be the fumbling and stumbling to apply it that destroys the adhesive, but these fail when near water and take the sensor/transmitter system with it!!!

It important to remove both backings
I originally was going to give this product a 1 star. Starting off, the pouch of 50 arrived with one 1 over patch in the pouch. Amazon replaced it with a pouch of 50. Then I put the first patch on, and within a day it was peeling and at 2 days, I had to remove it. I then realized that when Amazon shipped the pouch, they attached the permanent shipping label over the instructions for use, so I could not read the directions. I had just assumed (like the over patches that come with my Stelo) that there was only a single backing for the side that adheres to the skin. These over patches have a backing on both sides. One is a paper type backing for the side that adheres to the skin and a plastic backing on the outside. I first only removed the paper backing and pressed the patch to my skin, pressing on the plastic surface, but left it on. It was the rigid plastic backing that lifted the patch off my skin in 2 days. When I examined the patch that came off closely, I realized that there was a peel point for the plastic backing at the blue strip. When I put the new one on, and removed the second plastic backing, the over patch worked great, and the edges didn’t lift off. The manufacturer should probably place an instructions sheet inside the pouch as well to avoid the negative reviews since Amazon will probably continue to cover up the instructions on the outside.

I bought these as I started on the Dexcom G6 and the first senor came off within the first day. So far the overpatches work fine.

Self application of this G7 over-patch is super difficult!
I have a mixed opinion here. Let’s just say that it’s a good thing that this is a bag of 50 because it took me going through 11 of the over patches to apply it correctly. This really is not ideal for folks that put it on themselves. It is more well suited to have somebody put it on for you. With my arthritic fingers, it was difficult. It is recommended by Dexcom for the G7 sensor to be inserted on the back of your arm. This positioning, in itself, is already setting this patch up to fail. The instructions that came with it might as well have been nonexistent. I wound up going to the instruction page of virtually the same patch but from a different Amazon seller. They had clear instructions and that’s how I found the proper steps in the proper order for successful application. It was still haphazard! I’ll use these but won’t be buying them again. Other patches I’ve tried are much simpler to apply. The patches are great if you can figure out how to get them on without having to contort yourself. I hope that somebody finds this helpful.
