A little girl loved this book.Give me a break.I 'm not reviewing Macbeth.

Best kids book in the world ever!Great characters, from all over the world, with great short stories for each, with plenty of humour.Suitable for ages about from 2-6.

I first bought this book many years ago for my children. They loved it so much I was asked to find it for my 4 and 5 year olds grandchildren who now love it too. Stories are still as relevant today and the drawings are beautifully illustrated.

I had this book for my own children and we all loved it. Still have our original copy but it is very well used. Wanted another one to pass on. This one, although well used, is in better condition than our own !Stereotyped, sexist, politically incorrect these days, but one reads the book with children together anyway and explains so much, may just as well fit some subtle corrections in, too, where appropriate, all the more learning. Kids are clever.But so much fun and a great way to expand a child's horizon and thinking.Somebody should reprint it - as it is and was, it should live on .

This book was a blast from the past: slightly reworked (quite a lot of words on a double spread which younger readers might find daunting - the beauty of the original was plenty of detailed images with just enough words to tell the story) but perfect for me as I just want it for nostalgia purposes: my parents told me they read it to me once or twice, and from that I taught myself to read by the age of three! I've been looking for it for a reasonable price for a while, and I'm delighted to have it again (I read my original one to shreds!)

Purchased the hardback for my 4 year old. Great book - I could remember so many of the stories.Problematic wise, it's actually better than I thought it was going to be. There stereotypes galore of course, but usually around the way people are dressed rather than how they act, and the fact that they're all animals helps smooth it over. There is some sexism there, for example almost none of the women have names (eg they are all "Mrs tiger, Shaloms Wife, Toms Mummy") or jobs other than wife or girlfriend. So you just have have to change some names and roles around yourself if you're reading this as bed time stories.But to be clear - the illustrations and the stories themselves are a true delight, and the little one loves choosing which country to read about.

Bought this for my Great Grandson. These books are great for little ones. I originally bought Richard Scarry's books for my daughter almost 50 years ago, they were handed down to my grand children, they were read over and over again.well loved and well read so they are now needing to be replaced

Bought as christening gift they loved it. Great memories of years back. Great learning book and nice to keep for next generations.
