Nice, easy to use
So far I'm loving this thing. Setabke charge rate is nice for faster charging when your in a hurry, and being able to charge almost all of my batteries is nice aaa- lion. I have 2 things I kinda wish it did.First I wish it could test more than 1 battery in the #4 slot. This seems to be the only space to test batteries. I am in the process of "recycling" some 18650s and being able to test more than1 would be nice. I may have misread the description, but it would be a nice upgrade to this unit. Can't charge 9v batteries, I think I remember this was not an option, BUT an upgradable that would make it the only charger you need!Otherwise this is awesome, the display is easy to understand and programming isn't complicated.

This Charger works fantastic!
I have an EBL charger for my 18650 batteries and for whatever reason they wouldn't sit in it to charge fully. I have another type charger for a bit bigger 18650 battery and it would never fully charge the battery. This charger accommodates both sizes of 18650 batteries and charges them fully. Great Charger.

Lots of info on batteries and charging, one cell at a time. "4.5" seems more accurate.
My DLSR battery chargers are similar to this EBL, although a different brand name. I tried a 4-cell charger carrying the other brand name. It died after a week, so I looked on Amazon for an alternative and found this EBL. I have a pile of EBL Li-Ion batteries and a simple 2-cell EBL charger that have all worked well, so I went with it.There is much to like about this EBL charger. It is large and can handle any Li-Ion cell size I have. There is a lot of information displayed about the charge rate, voltage, cell type, and charge level. It also can test charge/discharge performance.I like the charger a lot and I'd love to give it 5 stars. I even considered being overly generous, but there are a couple of warts that detract from gushing admiration. It probably rates 4.5 if a star could be split.First, I suspect there's more to the EBL than is obvious in terms of the push buttons and functionality. The instruction "manual" is sparse. It is written in tiny print in multiple languages on one side of a small piece of paper. It mentions something about being powered by 5Vdc or 9VAC but there is only one type-C USB connector, which typically carries 5Vdc. Manual is completely mum on this item. So, it remains a mystery.Second, the charger comes with a couple of cables (USB A to USB V and USB C to USB C), which is good. They do not appear to be the most robust cables going, but they are probably adequate to the task. However, EBL has cheaped out by not sending a matching wall transformer. It's up to the user to come up with a charger plug-in good for at least 2A. While fairly common with cell phones, it can still require further outlay of $$ to realize the promised performance if you don't have one.Last, the charger can display info for only one cell at a time. If you charge multiple cells, you must manually select which cell you want to monitor. Both my DSLR chargers can handle two camera batteries at one time, and the displays alternate between cells automatically.So... none are singularly a deal breaker, but collectively they might be for some folks. I charged a couple of partially depleted Li-Ion cells at one time and they were both back up to about 4.05 within a half hour. The charger does everything promised, although doesn't seem to do anything spectacularly. It's still nicer than the one that I returned because of infant mortality.

This is the one!!!! The video showing how to enter the discharge test mode was super helpful.
I did a lot of research. I was mainly looking for a reasonably priced 18650 charger with a discharge test function. This is the one. So, as soon as I received it, I tested batteries that came with a headlamp I recently bought that had batteries that claimed to have a capacity of 9800 mAh. Yeah, no. These batteries tested out at approx 670 mAh. The name brand 18650 batteries I researched and bought claimed 3500 mAh capacity and tested out at 3450 mAh. That's more like it. The first few times I used the headlamp with the batteries it came with, I knew the claim was BS. Actually, I knew when I bought it. Using the headlamp, yes, it is super bright. But, with the batteries it came with, it petered out rather quickly. the name-brand batteries I bought should last many hours as opposed to 1 or 2 at full brightness. If I remember correctly from the discharge test, the name-brand batteries should last at full brightness for over 10 hours at least. This charger/tester is just what I was looking for. I will update this review if anything changes. But, definitely so far so good. It completely charged all of the batteries I have. And, it did a full discharge test, which is the main reason I bought it. I returned another higher-rated charger/tester (per Amazon ratings). If the test function on it even worked, I couldn't figure it out. And, instructions were basically non-existent. For this one, watch the video on this product's Amazon site. Plus it comes with a very good instruction booklet. It is so easy to use---very user-friendly.This is the one!! Get it!!!

Good device, fast warranty service
The seller got back to me fast and sent out a new charger so I've updated this review to reflect the fast warranty service. The person I talked to was nice. Slot three is acting like it's charging a Ni-MH battery when no batteries are present in the device and I'm pretty sure it damaged one of my batteries before I noticed the issue with slot three. Build quality seems fine and the screen is easy to read. The testing function would be nice but I can't trust the output with the issue with slot three.

Charges every kind of lithium and NiMH battery I have
Charges every kind of lithium and NiMH battery I have. I had a Skyrc charger that just did AA & AAA batteries costing nearly $50 that crapped out after about 14 months. I've had great results with older EBL chargers and batteries
